Key Highlights

Guided Mountain Hikes

Hiking trails around the resort range from short, easy walks to longer mountain treks. A popular choice is the 2.5 km trail that goes through the jungle where birds sing from the trees and wildflowers grow along the path. Higher trails climb to lookout points with views that stretch across the entire Himalayan range. On days when the sky is perfectly clear, even Mount Everest can be spotted in the distance, and the local guides enjoy sharing stories about life in these mountains.

Cycling Through Villages

Bike rides take guests down quiet roads that wind through nearby villages and farmland. The routes go through patches of forest, past terraced fields where local farmers grow their crops, and into small communities where children play outside their homes. Riders get to see how people actually live in this part of Nepal while getting some exercise and fresh mountain air.

Daily Yoga Sessions

Every morning from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, yoga classes happen either inside the yoga hall or outside on the terrace. Teachers like Guruji Hswami Satya Shree lead guests through breathing exercises, gentle stretches, and quiet sitting meditation. The movements help loosen up stiff muscles while the breathing and meditation settle down a busy mind that might be racing with thoughts.

Himalayan Hot Stone Massage

Therapists heat smooth black stones until they're warm and place them on different parts of the body. The warmth sinks deep into sore muscles and helps them relax and let go of the tension they've been holding. As the therapist moves the warm stones across the back, shoulders, and legs, the gentle pressure and heat work together to ease out knots and tightness that regular massage might miss.

Siro Abhyanga Treatment

This head massage comes from the Ayurvedic healing tradition and uses warm oils that smell like herbs and flowers. The therapist massages the scalp, temples, neck, and shoulders using slow circular movements that feel incredibly soothing. People who get headaches often or have trouble falling asleep at night find this treatment especially helpful because it calms down the nervous system and quiets racing thoughts.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Tea Ritual & Sunset Hiking

When guests first arrive at Kavya Himalayas, the staff greets them with a welcome drink and helps them get settled into their room. Once unpacked, there's time to explore the grounds and get a feel for the place. The tea tasting session in the afternoon introduces different types of tea that grow in the Himalayan region, and each one tastes completely different from regular tea back home. Later, a guide takes everyone on a sunset hike where they can watch the sun drop behind the mountains and turn the sky pink and orange. After dark, guests can sit by the fire pit and look up at more stars than they've probably ever seen before, while having dinner.

Day 2: Yoga, Spa & Romantic Evening

Breakfast follows, then guests have a few hours to do whatever they want before their spa appointments. The spa part of the day includes both the hot stone massage and the Siro Abhyanga head treatment, which together leave the body feeling completely relaxed. After lunch and some quiet time with herbal tea in the spa lounge, guests head back to their room to find it decorated with flowers and candles for a special dinner that includes cake.

Day 3: Cycling, Pottery & Cultural Calm

The day starts again with morning yoga followed by breakfast to fuel up for the bike ride ahead. The cycling tour goes through villages where guests see farmers working in their fields and kids walking to school. Back at the resort after lunch, a pottery session gives everyone a chance to work with clay and try making a simple bowl or cup. The rest of the afternoon is open for more spa treatments if wanted, or just relaxing with a book and some tea while watching the sun go down over the mountains.

Day 4: Sunrise Hike & Departure

The last day starts early while it's still dark outside, so guests can hike to a viewpoint before sunrise. After hiking back down and eating breakfast, there's a little time left for one more cup of tea or a few minutes of quiet sitting before packing up. A driver then takes guests to the airport or wherever they're going next in Kathmandu.

Good to Know

Yoga for All Levels

Morning sessions run every day from 7:00 to 8:00 AM and welcome complete beginners and experienced practitioners equally. Guruji Hswami Satya Shree adjusts breathing exercises and movements based on each person in the group.

Spa Circuit Sequence

The Kavya Ritual guides you through a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and cold pool in a specific order. Each step prepares your body for the next one so following the sequence gives you the full benefit of the treatment.

Meal Customization

The kitchen follows Ayurvedic principles and prepares meals based on what each guest needs. Share any dietary restrictions or food allergies with the staff at check-in so the chef can plan your meals accordingly.

Pottery Session Tips

The class works with natural clay and requires no experience at all. Wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty since working with clay can leave marks that are hard to wash out completely.

About your stay

Kavya Himalayas

Nagarkot Road, Mahamanjushree, 44812, Nepal

This retreat gives guests a chance to step away from their busy lives and find peace in the mountains. From the moment guests arrive, the team at Kavya Himalayas takes care of every detail to make the stay comfortable and relaxing.

Your Accommodation

Rooms at the resort come in different sizes, but all have big windows that look straight out at the mountains and valley. Each one has a comfortable bed, its own outdoor space for sitting, a large bathtub, and nice soaps and lotions in the bathroom. The smaller Junior Suites work well for two people traveling together, while the One-Bedroom Villas give more space with a separate living room for stretching out. Two-Bedroom Villas fit families or friends traveling as a group and give everyone room to spread out without feeling crowded. The buildings use local stone and other natural materials that blend into the landscape rather than stand out, while the interiors are modern and well-appointed.

Restaries is a farm in the UK where beautifully restored properties sit on a 10-acre working farm, with open fields, a heated pool, a woodland spa, and animals that roam the land around you. Every stay can be shaped into something completely different depending on the group, the occasion, and what kind of time away is needed most. Come for the rest, stay for the alpacas.

Sanctuary Resort
4 Nights 5 Days

Sanctuary Resort is set on the western edge of Chitwan National Park in southern Nepal, right along the banks of the Narayani River in the lush region of Amaltari. The buildings are made from local stone and timber, so the resort feels like it grew out of the land rather than being built on top of it. From open-jeep safaris through rhino country to quiet evenings spent with the Tharu community, every part of a stay here is shaped by the wild surroundings.

Nepal
Dorje’s Resort & Spa
2 Nights 3 Days

Dorje’s Resort & Spa sits on a peaceful hillside overlooking Phewa Lake in Pokhara, Nepal. This wellness retreat combines traditional healing practices, organic farm-fresh meals, and daily yoga with views of the Annapurna mountain range stretching across the horizon. Dorje runs the property himself and has been working in hotels for thirty years. The pools get busy when families are swimming, while the spa stays full of people who need to work out soreness from hiking. You’re not required to follow any set schedule here, so some days you might do several activities and other days you might barely leave your room.
