More about this escape
Dorje’s Resort sits above Phewa Lake, where you can see the water and mountains from almost anywhere on the property. The place helps you slow down through yoga, spa treatments, and time spent doing absolutely nothing if that’s what you need. Everything here runs on a schedule that feels more natural than rushed.
Mornings start with yoga on an outdoor deck before the day gets too warm. Breakfast comes from the resort’s own farm, with vegetables picked that morning and cooked simply so you can taste how fresh everything is. Between planned activities, your time is completely your own for swimming, getting massages, or just sitting outside watching boats move across the lake.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Pokhara, Nature and Wellness
Someone greets you with herbal tea when you get there and takes you to your room. The rest of the afternoon is open for figuring out where everything is located and maybe taking a swim. Late in the day, you’ll try your first sound bowl therapy session in the spa, where those bronze bowls make tones that seem to vibrate right through you. Dinner shows you what farm-to-table really means with vegetables that taste completely different from what you buy at regular grocery stores back home.
Meals: Dinner
Activities: Sound Healing Therapy, Farm to Table Dining
Day 2: Wellness Rituals & Lakeside Adventure
You’ll wake up early for yoga while the air is still cool and fog sits low over the valley. Breakfast afterward has organic choices that actually taste good instead of just being healthy. The middle part of the day stays completely open for whatever you feel like doing. After lunch, your guide takes you out on Phewa Lake in a traditional wooden boat and then to parts of Pokhara where most tourists don’t go. You'll eat lunch at Moondance restaurant, which Dorje opened back in 1991 and has been popular with tourists and trekkers ever since. The vegetables here come from the same farm that supplies the resort, so you get the same fresh quality before coming back to the resort while there’s still afternoon left to enjoy.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch
Activities: Private Yoga, Guided City Tour, Phewa Lake Boating
Day 3: Departure with Mindful Memories
Your last breakfast has the same mountain and lake views you’ve been seeing each morning. The shop near the front desk sells pottery and cloth items made by people from nearby villages, if you want to bring something home. The staff helps you check out and say goodbye before you leave.
Meals: Breakfast

Good to Know
Sound Bowl Sessions Work Best Relaxed
Come to your sound healing therapy with an open mind and an empty stomach. The vibrations work better when you’re not digesting a heavy meal, so schedule it before dinner or a few hours after eating.
The Resort Has Stairs
There are stairs and sloped pathways connecting different areas. If you have mobility concerns, request a room closer to the main facilities when booking. Golf cart assistance is available for steep sections.
Yoga Happens Early
Morning sessions start around 6:30 to 7:00 AM to catch the coolest part of the day and calmest energy. If you’re not a morning person, you can request afternoon private sessions instead.
Limited Farm Menu
The kitchen works with what’s harvested that day, so there are fewer menu options but everything is very fresh. Vegetarian meals are standard, and meat dishes can be arranged with advance notice.
Best Time to Visit
Optimal periods to experience Pokhara Lakeside Wellness Escape at its finest, based on weather conditions and overall visitor experience.

Restaries is a farm in the UK where beautifully restored properties sit on a 10-acre working farm, with open fields, a heated pool, a woodland spa, and animals that roam the land around you. Every stay can be shaped into something completely different depending on the group, the occasion, and what kind of time away is needed most. Come for the rest, stay for the alpacas.

Sanctuary Resort is set on the western edge of Chitwan National Park in southern Nepal, right along the banks of the Narayani River in the lush region of Amaltari. The buildings are made from local stone and timber, so the resort feels like it grew out of the land rather than being built on top of it. From open-jeep safaris through rhino country to quiet evenings spent with the Tharu community, every part of a stay here is shaped by the wild surroundings.

The bridge stretches over the Kaligandaki Gorge with 228 meters of open air below. At The Cliff Nepal, you’ll find experiences that test your limits: a bungee jump that sends you into freefall, a canyon swing with 8 seconds of pure flight, and a sky cycle where you pedal through empty space with just valley views underneath. The Sky Cafe serves meals while suspended over the gorge, making even breakfast feel special. After a full day, the riverside cottages offer hot showers and comfortable beds when your body needs them most.
